Charlie Domahidi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the State University of New York at Oswego. His research focuses on criminological theories, immigration attitudes, juvenile delinquency, and innovative crime prevention strategies. He has presented his work at major conferences including the American Society of Criminology and Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
His notable research includes the study The Drugs-Violence Nexus (2014), which explores the relationship between adolescent drug use and violent behavior. Recent presentations address contemporary issues like the criminalization of immigrants in media, reentry employment barriers, and the impact of political rhetoric on crime perceptions.
He actively contributes to community education through the Yates County Democratic Committee Key Issues Series and has presented on topics ranging from immigration attitudes in 'Trump's America' to vegetation-based crime prevention strategies.
