Charles Zheng

Charles Zheng is Professor of Economics at the University of Western Ontario where he holds the Christopher J. Grimes Fellowship in Microeconomic Theory (2015-2026). His research focuses on auction theory and mechanism design with applications to market efficiency and strategic interaction.

Zheng's core contributions include:

• Foundational work on auction redesign with secondary markets
• Theoretical frameworks for peace implementation under security constraints
• Equilibrium analysis in production economies

He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in mechanism design, game theory, and general equilibrium analysis. Zheng maintains an active research agenda during his 2022-2023 sabbatical.
