Charles Meikun Zhou is a PhD candidate at the School of the Environment, University of Queensland, where he is applying Machine Learning to study the polygenic connection between local adaptation and speciation. His research also focuses on the mechanisms of parallel evolution across species under similar environmental pressures.
Research Interests:
- Machine Learning algorithms for biological data
- Evolutionary dynamics of speciation
- Parallel evolution and environmental adaptation
- Computational approaches to population genetics
- Phenotypic divergence and ecological speciation
- Integrative modeling of adaptive traits
Advisors:
