Charissis Christos serves as a Professor at the Department of Visual Arts and Art Sciences, University of Ioannina, where he concurrently holds the position of Director for the Painting Workshop – expanded forms of visual expression. His office is located on the Ground Floor of the Facilities Laboratory, Building A Student Residences (FEA) in Ioannina, with designated cooperation hours every Wednesday from 15:00 to 21:00.
Specializing in modern expanded expressive forms of painting, his research explores the intersection of traditional painting techniques with contemporary digital media and 3D representations. This includes experimental approaches to visual expression through new technologies, sculpture integration, and multimedia installations. His work bridges classical art practices with cutting-edge technological innovation in visual arts education.
As laboratory director, he oversees advanced facilities including the Painting Workshop – expanded forms of visual expression and Installations Laboratory, providing students with specialized training in experimental visual media.
