Charis Förster

Charis Förster serves as Vice President for Research, Knowledge and Technology Transfer at Saarland University of Applied Sciences while holding a professorship for Theory, Practice and Empiricism of Childhood Education within the Social Sciences school. She is actively engaged in research, teaching, and academic leadership at the institution.

Professor Förster's research focuses on childhood education with particular emphasis on daycare quality assessment, educational environments for children, intercultural education, and language development. Her work includes significant projects such as INAQUA (Care and Childhood Education), evaluation of cooperation between daycare centers and schools, and studies on multi-professionalism in school social work teams.
