Chardie Baird is a Professor of Sociology at Kansas State University (K-State), holding the Spainhour Family Chair. She also serves as Executive Director of the K-State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering (KAWSE). Her primary affiliations include the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work within the College of Arts and Sciences.
