Charalampos Loukas is a Research Fellow in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Faculty of Engineering. He is a key contributor to sensor-enabled robotics and advanced manufacturing research, with a strong focus on ultrasonic imaging, robotic welding, and digital twin technologies.
His research interests span non-destructive testing, robotics, machine learning in engineering, and autonomous manufacturing. He actively develops systems for in-process inspection, adaptive robotic control, and real-time defect detection in high-value manufacturing sectors such as energy and defense.
