Rastislav Zimermann

Rastislav Zimermann is a Research Fellow in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Faculty of Engineering. His work is centered on advancing non-destructive evaluation (NDE) techniques for modern manufacturing processes, particularly additive manufacturing such as Wire + Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM).

His research interests include in-process inspection, ultrasound and eddy-current testing, sensor fusion, and robotic automation for structural integrity assessment. These areas are critical for ensuring quality and reliability in aerospace, energy, and industrial applications.
