Chao Wu is a part-time Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Materials (ISEM) and Australian Institute for Innovative Materials (AIIM) at the University of Wollongong. His research focuses on designing high-performance electrodes for lithium, sodium, and zinc storage systems. He leads projects on advanced battery materials and electrolyte engineering.
Dr. Wu has supervised multiple PhD students, including ongoing work on aqueous Zn metal batteries and completed projects on zinc-based and sodium metal battery systems. He has secured grants such as the 2023 Internal Grant for anode-free sodium batteries and an external grant for renewable energy storage.
