Changhao Wu

Professor Changhao Wu holds a position in Cell Physiology at the University of Surrey's School of Biosciences. Previously, he served as a Lecturer (1995-2000) and Senior Lecturer (2001-2008) at University College London's Department of Medicine and Institute of Urology. His research focuses on cellular physiology/pathophysiology, ageing, oxidative stress, inflammation, and environmental medicine. Key areas include excitable/non-excitable tissue biology, renal/epithelial dysfunction, and toxicological mechanisms. Recent work addresses trichloroethylene-induced immune injury, bisphenol A effects in obesity, and gastric cancer metastasis. He contributes to translational studies in heart slices and cancer outcomes. His publications span toxicology, oncology, and immunology, with a focus on molecular mechanisms and clinical implications.
