Dr. Changhao Chenli is an Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at Indiana Institute of Technology, located within the Talwar College of Engineering and Computer Sciences. His current role includes teaching courses such as CS 1200 (Intro to CS), CYS 1100 (Intro to Cybersecurity), and IS 5700 (Information Security and IT Governance). He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame (2024), an M.E. in Software Engineering (2018), and a B.E. in Information Security (2016), both from Renmin University of China.
Chenli's research focuses on secure data sharing, data provenance, fair exchange protocols, and applied cryptography, primarily leveraging blockchain technology. His work emphasizes practical solutions for decentralized systems and energy-efficient blockchain mechanisms. He has published extensively in venues like IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, and IEEE International Conferences on Blockchain.
In addition to research, Chenli is actively involved in academic advising for cybersecurity programs and maintains a robust teaching philosophy rooted in his experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Notre Dame, where he supported courses in algorithms and cryptography.
