Chanelle N. Rose is Associate Professor of History and Coordinator of Africana Studies at Rowan University. Specializing in African American history and post-WWII America, she researches civil rights, urban history, and Black conservatism.
Her book examines the civil rights struggle in Miami's tourist economy. Current research analyzes Black conservatism during the urban crisis. Publications appear in Journal of Urban History and Journal of Social History.
Rose teaches courses on African American history and coordinates the Africana Studies program.
