Chandru Dhandapani

Chandru Dhandapani is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where he focuses on computational turbulent combustion and alternative fuels research. He holds a PhD in Aeronautics from Caltech and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Madras.

His research involves developing frameworks for simulating turbulent flames and predicting the performance of sustainable jet fuels under combustion, building on his work with turbulence forcing terms in direct numerical simulations (DNS). This work was conducted in collaboration with the research group of Professor Guillaume Blanquart at Caltech.
