Chandravadan (Chandra) Shah is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Victoria University's Centre for International Research on Education Systems (CIRES). Previously, he held an Associate Professor (Research) position at Monash University's Centre for the Economics of Education and Training (CEET) and remains affiliated with Monash's Faculty of Education. He holds a PhD, MEc (Monash), PGCE (Reading University), and BSc (Imperial College London).
His research focuses on labour market economics, education policy, and statistical modelling. Key areas include skills forecasting, returns to education, geographical social inclusion, and vocational training analysis. He has conducted high-impact projects for governments and organizations, including reports on STEM teacher shortages and Australia's future job openings.
Chandra's work emphasizes evidence-based policy solutions for workforce development.
