Chandrani Chatterjee

Dr. Chandrani Chatterjee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at the College of Business, The University of Texas at Arlington. She holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Iowa (2021), an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Xavier Institute (2010), and a BA in Commerce from St. Xavier's College (2007).

Her research centers on accounting information systems, debt contracting, regulatory compliance (notably ASC-842), and corporate cash management. She investigates how regulatory changes, data breaches, and accounting standards influence borrowing costs, firm behavior, and financial reporting quality.

The recent publications and presentations highlight a strong trend in analyzing the financial and operational impacts of accounting regulations, cash reserve strategies, and disclosure policies. Her work bridges accounting practices with corporate finance outcomes, often focusing on risk, compliance efficiency, and stakeholder implications.
