Chad Teal

Chad Teal is an Assistant Professor at Utah State University and a Fish Biologist affiliated with the U.S. Geological Survey - Utah Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit. His research focuses on applying fundamental biological and ecological principles to address fisheries management challenges and develop sustainable aquaculture technologies.

Educational Background:

• PhD in Fish Biology from University of Arizona
• MSc in Aquaculture from University of Miami

His lab specializes in: exploiting sexual biology of invasive fish species for population control; genomic approaches to aquatic invasive eradication; sustainable aquaculture practices; and ecological-demographic studies of native and invasive fish populations. He also founded and led the Miami Science Barge environmental education initiative.
