Chad Lindemann serves as Professor of Art and Chair of the School of Fine Arts at Wisconsin Lutheran College. He holds formal academic credentials including an A.A. from Bethany Lutheran College, a B.A. from Augustana College, and an M.F.A. in Printmaking from Kansas State University.

Lindemann specializes in typography and type design, most notably creating the Lindemann Sans typeface family. His research interests focus on geometric sans serif typography grounded in golden proportions, with applications across technology corporations, architectural firms, magazines, and branding industries. His work emphasizes legibility through proportional balance, open counters, high x-height, and distinctive glyphs.
Lindemann teaches a comprehensive range of art courses including Drawing 1 & 2, 2D Design, Adobe Illustrator, Advanced Art Studio, Painting 1, Web Design 1 & 2, Web Concepts for Non-Designers, Portfolio Development, and Printmaking 1-4.
His scholarly work centers on typeface design with PF Lindemann Sans representing his most significant contribution to the field. This typeface family demonstrates expertise in geometric sans serif design with 12 distinct weights and extensive language support.
