Chad L. Schoen

Chad L. Schoen is a Professor of Mathematics at Duke University's Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. His research focuses on algebraic geometry, arithmetic geometry, and complex geometry, particularly on elliptic surfaces, Calabi-Yau varieties, and Hodge theory. He holds a Ph.D. from The University of Chicago (1982) and a B.A. from Haverford College (1975). Schoen has been affiliated with Duke since 1998 and has led grants such as the National Science Foundation's 'Chow Groups of Projective Varieties' (2002–2006).
