Chad Kerksick is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at Lindenwood University. He founded and directs the Exercise and Performance Nutrition Laboratory (EPNL), focusing on the intersection of exercise and nutrition to enhance health, performance, and recovery across diverse populations, including athletes, aging individuals, and clinical groups.
- PhD in Exercise, Nutrition, and Preventive Health from Baylor University
- MS in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Memphis
- BS in Exercise Science from Truman State University
His research spans weight loss, body composition, skeletal muscle physiology, supplementation effects, and resistance training adaptations. He has published over 90 peer-reviewed articles and edited two books on nutrient timing and sports nutrition for adolescents.
Scientific awards include fellowship in the International Society of Sports Nutrition (FISSN), American College of Sports Medicine (FACSM), and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He serves as Senior Associate Editor for the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research and Associate Editor for Strength and Conditioning Journal.
