معرفی
Cezary Śliwa is a senior postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences and the International Research Center MagTop, specializing in theoretical physics with emphasis on quantum phenomena and condensed matter systems.
His educational background includes:
- Master of Science (1996) from the Chair of Mathematical Physics, University of Warsaw
- PhD (2003) from the Center for Theoretical Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, granted by the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw, with thesis "Finite element method in the field theory"
- Habilitation degree (2014) awarded by the Institute of Physics, Warsaw
Śliwa's research integrates mathematical rigor with computational approaches across quantum field theory, quantum vortices, and spin interactions. He pioneered lattice discretization methods for quantum fields and made significant contributions to magnetic semiconductor alloys and perturbation theory at non-zero temperatures. His methodology combines symbolic and numerical computation, with publications predominantly in Physical Review B.
He maintains international collaborations including work with Prof. Ian A. Wamsley at Oxford's Center for Quantum Computation on photon-counting techniques, and with Prof. Tomasz Dietl on spin-spin interactions in solids. His 2021 work on spin interactions was presented as an invited talk at JEMS 2022.
Śliwa is actively affiliated with the International Research Center MagTop, which focuses on magnetism and topological materials research at Aleja Lotników 32/46 in Warsaw.
