Cessalyn Harvey

Cessalyn Harvey is an Assistant Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy, affiliated with the College of Health Professions & MSON Physician Assistant program. She holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (2001) and a Bachelor of Science in Pathologists’ Assistant (1995), both from Wayne State University.

With over 20 years in healthcare, Dr. Harvey specializes in surgical practice, particularly in urology, gynecology, and robotic surgery. She actively practices clinically and focuses on technological advancements in surgery. Currently, she teaches Clinical Medicine and supports Remediation programs.

Her career has centered on multidisciplinary surgical procedures, balancing clinical work with academic roles. Outside academia, she enjoys travel and family time.
