Dr. Cesar A. Rosales-Nieto is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Sciences at Texas State University, part of the College of Science and Engineering. He previously served as a full-time Professor at the University of San Luis Potosí (Mexico) and as a Principal Researcher at INIFAP-Mexico. His research focuses on improving livestock productivity and reproduction through environmental and nutritional interventions in small ruminants (sheep and goats) in arid/semi-arid rangelands.

Research Interests: Investigates how environmental factors and nutritional strategies during conception, gestation, and lactation impact fetal growth, milk production, birth weight, and postnatal development in small ruminants. Key areas include placental signaling, metabolic hormones, and tissue development. Future work emphasizes optimizing nutritional alternatives to enhance productivity in semi-arid regions.
