Celina Doria

Celina Doria is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Social Work. She holds a PhD from the University of Chicago and an MSW from the University of Michigan. Her work focuses on reproductive justice, gender-based violence, and state violence, utilizing critical feminist frameworks.

Dr. Doria’s research centers on marginalized women’s experiences, including Indigenous women’s reproductive healthcare, incarcerated women’s mothering strategies, and self-managed abortion. She employs qualitative methods such as in-depth interviews, ethnography, and participatory arts like body mapping.

Her current research examines feminist abortion accompaniment networks reshaping abortion care across Mexico and the United States, promoting bodily autonomy and health equity through intersectional praxis.
