Celeste Poe

Celeste Poe, Ph.D., LMFT, is a Research Fellow in the Child Study Center at Yale University’s Yale School of Medicine. She holds academic appointments as a Clinical Instructor within the same department. Her research focuses on intergenerational trauma, emphasizing risk factors, resilience mechanisms, and cultural influences. Poe’s clinical work spans pediatrics, neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), and early childhood trauma intervention in community settings.

Education:

• B.S. in Psychology (with Chemistry minor) from Xavier University of Louisiana
• M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University
• Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University

Clinical Experience: Includes externships at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, San Jose Job Corps, and the Inner Resources for Stress center. Her work integrates mindfulness-based interventions for children and adolescents in schools.

Labs/Teams: Engaged with interdisciplinary teams at the Child Study Center, focusing on culturally responsive mental health practices and early childhood development.
