معرفی
Prof Celeste Linde is a Professor and Associate Director HDR within the Research School of Biology (RSB) at The Australian National University, leading the Division of Ecology and Evolution. Her research focuses on plant-fungal symbioses, particularly orchid mycorrhizal fungi, genetic divergence, and biodiversity conservation. She investigates how fungal partnerships influence orchid germination, species distribution, and conservation strategies for endangered flora.
Her work spans evolutionary biology, mycology, and plant pathology, with emphasis on understanding symbiotic relationships and their ecological implications. Key projects include analyzing fungal community dynamics in orchids and eucalyptus ecosystems, and addressing threats like plant diseases and habitat fragmentation.
Prof Linde has supervised numerous research students and leads initiatives such as the ARC Training Centre in Plant Biosecurity. She collaborates globally on fungal taxonomy and conservation, contributing to efforts like the Global Consortium for Fungal Classification. Her research also explores the genetic diversity of plant pathogens, aiding in disease management strategies.
Her lab’s projects include studying mycorrhizal specificity, orchid germination requirements, and fungal population genetics. She emphasizes applied outcomes for conservation and agricultural resilience, bridging fundamental and translational research.
