Celeste Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Spelman College since 2019. Her academic work focuses on racial and ethnic inequality, racial ideology, youth experiences, and the sociology of education and health.

Her research explores how ethno-racial groups navigate racialization processes, particularly examining Black millennials’ responses to post-racial discourse and microaggressions. She has co-authored publications theorizing advocacy mentoring models to address diversity gaps in academia.
Dr. Lee’s pedagogy emphasizes innovative learning environments through simulations, multimedia, and collaborative projects. Her work bridges sociological theory with practical applications aimed at fostering social change.
