Celal CANER is an Assistant Professor at Sakarya University, Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry. His research focuses on analytical chemistry and environmental applications, with expertise in heavy metal analysis, magnetic nanoparticle synthesis, and cloud point extraction techniques.
- Current courses: KIM 111 Chemistry (D+P: 3+2), KIM 498 Graduation Project (D+P: 0+4).
- Editorial roles: Peer-reviewer for Journal of Environmental Management, Atomic Spectroscopy, and Analytical Letters.
- Conference participation: Presented studies on chemistry education (2014) and magnetic extraction methods (2023–2024).
His recent work emphasizes nanostructured materials for metal separation, environmental monitoring, and food safety. He has contributed to heterogeneous catalysis, including phthalocyanine-based catalysts for olefin oxidation and hydrogenation reactions.
Key collaborations include projects with Ümit İşci (TÜBİTAK 112M370, 2012) and Hüseyin Altundag, focusing on speciation analysis and magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE/ICP-OES). He also served as a panelist for TÜVAG (2023) and contributed to international conferences like the 2014 International Science and Technology Conference.
