Cedric Michel serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at The University of Tampa, where he teaches courses including Research Methods in Criminology and Criminal Justice, Criminological Theory, Death Penalty, and White-Collar and Elite Crime.
His educational qualifications include:

Michel's research investigates societal responses to crime through the lens of public knowledge and perception, with particular emphasis on how factual information influences attitudes toward punitive policies. His work reveals significant racial and gender disparities in death penalty support after exposure to capital punishment data, and examines corporate crime perceptions through controlled information studies.
As an active scholar, he contributes to leading journals including Critical Criminology and the Journal of Ethnicity in Criminal Justice, while maintaining membership in the American Society of Criminology and Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences for national conference presentations.
