Cecily Bishop is an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal and Rangeland Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU) and a Research Assistant Professor at the Oregon National Primate Research Center (ONPRC), Division of Reproductive & Developmental Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Animal Science with a minor in Biochemistry/Biophysics (OSU, 2006) and a B.S. in Animal Science (Washington State University, 2001).
- Research Focus: Reproductive biology, endocrinology, and metabolic interactions in nonhuman primates and cattle, particularly hyperandrogenemia, Western-style diet effects, and follicular/endometrial dynamics.
- Scientific Awards: 2020 Biology of Reproduction Top Reviewer Award; Lalor Foundation Merit Award (2010); Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards (2009, 2006); Extramural Loan Repayment Program (LRP-CIR) Award (2007); Savory Outstanding Doctoral Student (2006); multiple Fred F. McKenzie Scholarships (2003-2005); Oregon Sports Lottery Scholarship (2003).
Publications: Recent work explores testosterone and Western-diet interactions in primate reproduction, AMH dynamics, and follicular development. She has contributed to peer-reviewed journals and book chapters in reproductive biology.
Grants & Funding: NIH T32-HD07133 Institutional Research Training Grants (2006, 2009) and LRP-CIR Award (2007). She accepts graduate students for research in Animal and Rangeland Sciences.
