Cecilia Wee is a Tutor (Research) in the MFA Communication program at the Royal College of Art (RCA), School of Communication. Her practice bridges artistic research, social activism, and organisational consultancy with a focus on equity, decolonial frameworks, and community-driven strategies. She holds a DPhil from the University of Sussex (2012) and is a Clore Leadership Fellow (2021).
Her work addresses power dynamics in arts and cultural sectors, advocating for inclusive infrastructures through participatory methods, radical pedagogies, and community organising. Key projects include Our Community Inheritance (with NHS Grenfell Health & Wellbeing Service) and Wayang Sayang, exploring East/Southeast Asian women’s decolonial movements. She has curated for institutions like Tate Modern and co-authored influential reports on equitable practices in the arts sector.
