Cecilia Rodéhn is a researcher at Uppsala University's Department of ALM and Center for Gender Studies (Cfg). With a PhD in Museum Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, she specializes in cultural heritage pedagogy, gender theory, and museology. At Cfg, she teaches gender studies, museology, pedagogy, and art history.
Rodéhn leads the project 'Cultural heritage as a pedagogical tool in higher education' with Hedvig Mårdh, focusing on norm critical approaches to heritage in education. Her research bridges museology, gender studies, and pedagogy, particularly in postcolonial contexts.
Her publications examine heritage democratization, gender representation in museums, and post-apartheid museology. She has also worked at the Nordic Centre for Heritage Learning and previously served as a museum educator in Sweden.
