Monica Eileen Patterson is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies, Carleton University, and Assistant Director of Curatorial Studies at the Institute for Comparative Studies in Literature, Art and Culture. She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology and History from the University of Michigan and specializes in intersections of memory, childhood, and violence in postcolonial Africa, with a focus on curatorial practices and public history projects.
