Cecilia Moloney is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Memorial University of Newfoundland. She has been with the university since 1990 and contributes to research in nonlinear signal processing, human visual perception, radar signal processing, and transformative pedagogy for science and engineering.
- Education: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics from Memorial University, M.Sc. and PhD in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
- Professional Experience: Worked at Bell-Northern Research (Ottawa) and INRS-Télécommunications (University of Québec, Verdun).
Her research spans nonlinear signal/image processing, signal representations, and interdisciplinary work in transformative pedagogy and gender studies in science. She pioneered the MetaKettle Project (2010-present) to innovate engineering education. Notable awards include the NSERC/Petro-Canada Chair for Women in Science and Engineering (Atlantic Region, 2004-2009).
