Cecilia Candréus is a Senior Lecturer at Uppsala University's Department of Art History, specializing in Textile Science. Her research focuses on early modern textiles, particularly ceremonial textiles and the role of textile artisans in historical contexts. She currently leads the project From cloakroom and barrel vault to royal chambers, exploring textile circulation within the Vasa court, and previously directed research on female artisans in the textile sector from 1739-1846. Candréus also serves as director of studies for doctoral programs in art history and textile science.
