Cecilia Borges

Cecilia Borges is a Full Professor in the Department of Psychopedagogy and Andragogy at the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Education Sciences. She also serves as Vice-Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, and previously held roles in Brazil at the Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel) and Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Her research focuses on teacher education, professional development, curriculum reform, and the pedagogical practices of physical education instructors.

Her current grants include the Collaborative International Research Colloquium (2024–2031) and studies on teacher well-being in Quebec.

Labs/Teams: Active member and leader in research units like CRIFPE (Interuniversity Research Center on Teacher Training and Profession), NEPEF (Brazilian Physical Education Research Group), and DOFPPEN. Co-organizes international education conferences and collaborates with institutions across Canada, Brazil, Portugal, and Spain.
