Cecile Murias is an Adjunct Professor at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, teaching The Art of Producing. She is a seasoned production executive and holistic practitioner with over a decade of leadership in media, nonprofits, and healing practices. Her career spans roles at Condé Nast Entertainment, Tastemade, Uninterrupted, and Dentsu Creative, where she managed global production teams and spearheaded projects for networks like HBO, Netflix, and ESPN. She is a three-time Emmy® Award winner and a Syracuse University alum.
Her teaching focuses on blending creative and business aspects of media, emphasizing ethics, leadership, and real-world production challenges. She integrates wellness practices—yoga, sound healing, and Reiki—into her leadership style, fostering trust and empowerment within teams. Murias also serves on the advisory board of Prison Yoga + Meditation and volunteers with A Sense of Home to support foster care transition youth.
Her work bridges media production and community impact, advocating for storytelling that amplifies nonprofit missions and promotes inclusivity. Her courses and industry insights aim to prepare students for leadership roles in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
