Ceara O'Leary is a Professor of Architecture at the University of Detroit Mercy, affiliated with the School of Architecture and the Detroit Collaborative Design Center (DCDC). She holds dual Master's degrees in Architecture and City & Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. in Architectural Studies from Brown University.
Her expertise focuses on public interest design, community development, and urban planning. She has held leadership roles including Immediate Past Chair of the AIA Housing and Community Development Knowledge Community Advisory Group, and previously served as Associate Director of the Master of Community Development program. O'Leary's work emphasizes collaborative, community-driven design solutions, reflected in her fellowship with the ULI Larsen Center and recognition as a Top Urban Innovator by Next City in 2015.
