Catriona MacLeod is a Lecturer in History at the University of Glasgow's College of Arts, specializing in early modern gender history with a focus on Scotland and Europe. Her research emphasizes women's economic roles in 18th-century Glasgow, particularly their contributions to urban development through domestic enterprises linked to trans-Atlantic trade.
Her recent work includes editing *The Whole Economy: Work and Gender in Early Modern Europe* (2023), a collaborative volume exploring gendered labor frameworks. She has also published reviews analyzing women's financial agency in early modern Britain.
