Cathy Hills is affiliated with the School of Education at the University of Edinburgh.
Her research examines the impact of datafication in secondary schools, focusing on pupils as "data constructions" and the philosophical/ethical implications of computational processes in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning for education. She employs a postqualitative research approach to emphasize creativity and immanent ethics in interventions.
