Professor Catherine Reading is a Professor and Director of CPD/Professional Development at Durham University's School of Education. Her work focuses on professional learning, teacher education, and international educational partnerships. She leads bespoke courses and collaborates with schools locally and globally to enhance teaching practices. With a BSc(Hons) in Medicinal Chemistry from University College London (1991) and a PGCE in Science from Durham (1993), her career spans teaching leadership roles in London and the North East before joining Durham in 2009. She holds a Masters in Online and Distance Education, reflecting her commitment to technology-enhanced learning.
Research Interests:
Communities of Practice, International Education, Peer Review Mechanisms, Science Pedagogy, and Professional Development in Education.
