Dr. Catherine Nelson serves as a Professor in the College of Education at the University of St. Francis, where she has held faculty positions since 2003. Her career bridges K-12 classroom experience and higher education, having previously taught middle school mathematics/science and 5th grade while serving as a cooperating teacher for field experience students.

- B.S. in Elementary/Middle School Education, University of Illinois (1992)
Dr. Nelson's research examines foundational cognitive development in educational settings, with emphasis on numerical literacy acquisition, innovative assessment methodologies, and critical thinking pedagogy.
