Catherine Meads is a Professor of Health at Anglia Ruskin University’s Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care, specializing in systematic reviews, health technology assessment (HTA), and LGBTQ+ health research. She has held academic roles at Brunel University, University of Birmingham, and Bart’s and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, and currently focuses on research and supervision.

She has pioneered studies on hormonal contraception and mental health, dietary micronutrients and body fat, and participatory arts for aging populations.
Key publication themes include health equity (e.g., sexual orientation disparities), HTA methodology (economic modeling, device evaluation), and public health interventions (smoking cessation, pressure ulcer prevention). Her work frequently informs policy, including collaborations with Public Health England and the World Health Organisation.
