Dr. Catherine McNamee is a Senior Lecturer at Queen's University Belfast's School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work. Her research focuses on family dynamics, inclusion and identity, and quantitative methodologies. She holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, and a postdoctoral fellowship from Penn State University. Her work addresses topics such as LGBTQ+ dating experiences, deaf children's well-being, and prison misconduct. She supervises PhD students on themes like Black women's relationships, childhood trauma, and refugee migration. She teaches modules on modern families, quantitative analysis, and social theory.
