Catherine Karyotis is a Professor of Finance and Academic Director of Executive Education at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) Paris. She leads the General Management Program Objectif Manager and teaches market microstructure, bank management, and research methodology. Her research focuses on the intersection of finance, economy, and society, emphasizing responsible finance, impact investing, and cooperative banking models. She is affiliated with LIRSA (EA4603) and serves on the Board of Directors of RIODD (International Research Network on Organizations and Sustainable Development).
Her recent work includes exploring AI integration in retail banking and analyzing regulatory shifts like CSRD's impact on bank-business relations. She has authored over 50 publications, including textbooks like The Essentials of Banking, now in its 11th edition. Her research spans ethical governance, sustainable finance, and financial system resilience, often addressing systemic risks and stakeholder-driven solutions.
