Catherine Jere is an Associate Professor in Education and Global Development at the University of East Anglia's School of Global Development. She holds the UNESCO Chair in Adult Literacy and Learning for Social Transformation and leads the Literacy and Development Group. Her work focuses on dismantling educational barriers in developing regions, particularly East Africa, with expertise in Malawi.
