Catherine Hoeffler

Catherine Hoeffler is a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe’s Bruges Campus, specializing in the Department of European Political and Governance Studies. She holds concurrent roles as an Associate Professor in Political Science at Sciences Po Bordeaux/Centre Emile Durkheim and serves as Director of the Sidjanski Center in European Studies at the Global Studies Institute, Université de Genève.

• Geoeconomics and defense market integration
• Feminist theory applied to defense studies

Recent Publications (2015-2021) analyze European defense policies, austerity impacts on security governance, gender dynamics in fieldwork, and differentiated integration mechanisms. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with empirical analysis of EU institutions.
