Catherine Emenheiser is an Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy in the College of Health Sciences at Alvernia University, specializing in adult neurorehabilitation with extensive clinical experience in acute rehabilitation and long-term care settings for neurological conditions including traumatic brain injury and stroke.
Her research focuses on the effectiveness of stroke rehabilitation interventions, evidenced by her dissertation "Relieving Post-Stroke Fatigue Using a Group-Based Educational Training Approach," and she has presented on best evidence reviews for stroke rehabilitation and outcome analysis in adult neurorehabilitation.
Dr. Emenheiser has received the following scientific recognition:
- President's Award of Service as Secretary of the Board, Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association
She serves as founding academic advisor for the Gamma Rho chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon (National Occupational Therapy Honor Society) and contributes to university governance through the Institutional Review Board, Advocates for Inclusive Engagement, and Board of Trustees Committee on Mission Integration.
