Catherine Z. Elgin is a Professor of the Philosophy of Education at Harvard University's Graduate School of Education since 1996. She holds a Ph.D. from Brandeis University (1975) and has taught at MIT, Princeton, Wellesley, Dartmouth, UNC Chapel Hill, Michigan State, Simmons, and Vassar prior to her Harvard appointment.
