Catherine Davy is a university professor and teacher-researcher leading the Lille campus of École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers (ENSAM), the first woman in this role. She holds a PhD in Mechanics of Materials from ENS Cachan (now part of Université Paris-Saclay) and an agrégation in Mechanical Design. Her career includes 18 years at École Centrale Lille, where she became a full professor and obtained her habilitation. Her research focused on composite materials, including a patented experimental setup for carbon-carbon composites in collaboration with the CEA.
Education highlights include graduating from École Centrale Nantes (1996) and completing studies at ENS Paris-Saclay. She conducted a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cambridge before returning to France.
