Catherine Daniel

Catherine (Cat) Daniel, MOT, OTR/L, is an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Instructor in the OT Programs at the College of Health Sciences, University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She has practiced as a civil servant in the public school system for 13 years in Central Texas and transitioned to full-time faculty in July 2021.

Education:

• Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (COTA to MOT bridge program) from Western New Mexico University
• Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from University of Phoenix
• Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy from Amarillo College

Her research focuses on integrative therapy in classroom settings, collaboration between therapists and educational teams, self-regulation strategies, sensory modulation, diversity and inclusion in healthcare, and mitigating burnout in occupational therapists. Her clinical experience spans pediatric school-based practice, hospital settings (acute/inpatient/outpatient), skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient hand clinics.
